Stupid Road Construction

They've been working on the road right outside my apartment (literally, my place is the last place you can turn before the road closes) since mid to late June. It's annoying because my most direct route to 316 (the road I take to work) is cut off. This means I have to go around adding five miles and, at times, up to 10 minutes onto my drive. There was a sign put up in July stating that the road would reopen 9-1-2008. It was soon after changed to 9-12-2008. Today when I drove in after work the sign read 11-1-2008. So annoying. I have no idea what they're doing to the read, but why is it taking two months longer than originally planned??

I was washing a glass earlier this evening, and it slipped out of my hand and broke. That wouldn't be so bad, but it cut my finger when it broke. I don't think I need stitches, but I have a cut up washcloth wrapped around it and taped with masking tape. Apparently I need medical tape and gauze. I do have band aids, neosporin, and rubbing alcohol though. I talked to dad, and he says to keep in wrapped until tomorrow morning. The problem is it's hard to wrap because the cut it right where my finger connects to my hand. The bottom part of the cut keeps poking out of the wrap. Sigh. I hope it will have stopped bleeding by tomorrow. If not I'll need to see a doctor. It doesn't look like a really deep or bad cut though.
