Another Reason to Be a Vegetarian
Sep. 7th, 2008 12:42 pmI already knew that it's a way to help reduce greenhouse gases, and apparently the UN Climate Chief does too, according to this article from the BBC. I hope it will help convince more people to be vegetarians, but I know one article likely won't cause a huge change. I don't try to convince others to be vegetarians (at least I hope I never appear that way). I respect others' choices not to be a vegetarian, and I expect them to respect my choice to be one. I do wish more people would make the change though. One woman at work told me she wants to be a vegetarian, but that when she tried not eating meat her hair started falling out. I asked what she was eating, and suggested maybe she wasn't getting the right vitamins, etc., but she's convinced she can't be a vegetarian. Then there are the people who just love meat too much. These are the same people who's jaws drop when I tell them I've never had steak, bacon, etc. I'm going to stop here before this entry turns into a huge rant on vegetarianism when all I wanted to do was share an article.
