Did you guys buy your summer reading books, or did you check them out from the library? I'm asking because all summer we've had people come into the library asking for books on the reading lists. That is not what I find odd though. Several people came in today looking for reading list books, and I told them there were semi-long waiting lists for the books (over 20 people). The problem with this is that school starts Monday. (Why they waited this long to do the reading is a whole other issue.) I told them their best bet would be to go to Borders, Barnes and Noble, or any bookstore and buy the books. And people looked shocked at that! Is buying a book from a bookstore really that odd of a concept? My mom always bought mine, but in my case my brother almost always had the same reading list three years down the road, so we saved them. I guess maybe people just don't want to pay for books they didn't choose to read?
