Worry Worry Worry
Jun. 3rd, 2008 03:28 pmWhy do I have to worry so much?? It's normal to worry when you have kitten with a fractured leg, but I'm not sure it's as normal to call your vet everyday with updates (I'm on a first name basis with the two receptionists) and consider taking the day off work because your kitten might possibly have hurt his leg a bit more. Last night he tried to squeeze under my dresser. He can fit underneath it without a splint on his leg but not with it. He did not know this and got stuck. I unstuck him, but he cried twice making me think he might have been hurt a bit more although I was as gentle as possible. However he's eating, drinking, and playing with his sister. I wouldn't be so unsure if I'd had him longer. With Carmen (whom I've had since 8th grade) I can read her and easily tell if something is wrong. I've only had Lyric and Lyre for three weeks though! They have a vet appointment on Friday, and Lyre has another appointment with the surgeon a week from Friday. I would think any further injuries would show up then, but I can't help but worry until then. Sigh.
