Random Stuff
Nov. 15th, 2008 04:05 pmFirst of all, we're getting a CPK (California Pizza Kitchen)!! I love that restaurant so much! Technically there is another one around here, but it's a pretty long drive. This one will be 10 miles away and right near Trader Joe's, a store I am in love with. They have all kinds of organic foods as well as many vegetarian selections which is a big appeal for me. They're also very cheap! I got a (literally) overflowing paper bag of stuff for $23.
I'm going home for Thanksgiving break, and I'm looking forward to that. Anni, a friend from another library branch, will be watching my kitties, so I'm grateful to her. I'm also looking forward to seeing mom, dad, Walt, and Carmen. Plus it will be nice to relax for a few days. (
andiyana if you want to hang out, I sent an e-mail to your gmail address about stuff.)
I'm still trying to get over this cold I have and am debating taking antibiotics. Lots of people at work had the same thing, and they only got over it with antibiotics. Dad says to see how I feel Monday and take them if I'm still not better.
Lyric and Lyre are doing fine. They're 8 months old now. I love them both to pieces, and I'd say the feeling is returned considering that they sleep with me part of every night. They're my babies. :)
That's all for now...

Date: 2008-11-16 04:42 pm (UTC)We just got a Trader Joe's in Rhode Island! It's kind of far away (that whole bay-in-the-middle-of-the-state thing makes things further away driving than they are as the crow flies), but I really want to go.
Have fun over Thanksgiving! Are you having a Tofurky? I've heard good things about the Field Roast, but I'm not sure I want to break my usual tradition.

Date: 2008-11-16 05:15 pm (UTC)I had never been to Trader Joe's or even heard of it until I moved here. Now I love them. You should definitely go if you get the chance.
Since I'm the only vegetarian in the family we will not be having a Tofurky. :( Dad even started in on a speech about tradition, but I cut him off, knowing where it was leading. He wants me to eat turkey on Thanksgiving, and I will not. There's plenty of other stuff available. I hope you have a good Thanksgiving as well!
