ALA 2011 Annual Conference

I'm going to the American Library Association conference next month! I'm pretty excited since it's in New Orleans. I've never been there before, and I'd love to explore the French Quarter. I'm staying two extra days after it ends, so I should have time to explore. The decision to go was made at the last minute, actually last night. However once I decided to go I quickly registered, booked a flight, and got a hotel room. The room was kind of difficult to find, but I'm pretty sure I found one. I'm going to verify that I have a room booked on Monday just to be safe. It would suck to arrive in New Orleans with no place to stay. The flight was actually really easy. By a stroke of luck my dad has some frequent flier miles we wanted to use up, so my entire round-trip flight cost $10. I have decided (or even given much thought) to which programs I want to attend. I have a bit of time to figure it out though. This should be fun!
