1. I spent four years in Virginia as an undergrad. I spent 2.5 years in Tennessee as a graduate student. I am currently in Georgia. Yet I still am, and will always be, a northerner at heart. I was reading a historical fiction book today (Thirteen Moons by Charles Frazier) that takes place in Georgia, and I reached the part that happens during the Civil War. Even though I know the book takes place in the south I was still a bit surprised when it talked about Yankees shooting at the protagonist's group of soldiers. As I was going along reading my mindset was that of a northerner. That's when it hit me that Pennsylvania will always be home even if I don't actually live there anymore.

2. There are times when my job gets on my nerves, but there are also times when I love it. Today was one of the latter. A little girl walked up to the desk today and asked me, "Where can I find the books on kittens?" As I walked her back to the appropriate area of the children's section we talked about kittens. She has one named Snickers. It was like I was talking to my younger self.

3. I have no bed at the moment. I have been renting furniture, but I bought a bed and dresser last weekend. The rental people picked up my bed and dresser today, and my new bed will be delivered on Saturday. I wanted the rental people to pick up my stuff tomorrow, but their schedule was full. It's not a huge deal since I still have my couch, but I do kind of miss having a bed already. At least this couch (as opposed to others I've had) is fairly comfortable.
