Sometimes I really wonder about my dad.
Jan. 3rd, 2008 04:14 pmSome snippets of conversations we had today:
Dad: You're young enough that you could change careers if you wanted you.
Me: But I don't want to.
Dad: You could be a doctor, a lawyer, an Indian chief...
Me: ...uh...
Dad: You can't get a job unless you get job interviews.
Me: I know
Dad: I just want to make sure you're trying.
Me: (sarcastically) Actually, I just assumed employers would come to me, begging to hire me.
[I've sent out applications and resumes, and my dad KNOWS this!]
Dad: What are you doing?
Me: Writing a cover letter.
Dad: For what?
Me: ...a job?
Sigh.
