So, I'm in Richmond, VA. The drive up here went well; 81 North was a little crowded, but 64 East was pretty much empty until I got close to Richmond. My mom, dad, and my brother took 95 which, according to them, was one big traffic jam. This resulted in us arriving at the hotel within five minutes of each other even though my drive was two hours longer than theirs.
Tonight was a barbecue for my cousin and his finance. There were a lot of people there from both families, but it was fun. And the fruit salad and hummus were delicious! (Not together obviously.) The funniest part however was when my brother drove us back to our hotel after the barbecue. Dad drove over, but he was too tired to drive back. I always thought dad was pretty good with his kids driving. He took me on the interstate before my driving instructor did. Apparently I was wrong. Walt was going about 40 (in a 45 zone), and dad kept freaking out and telling him to slow down. Walt said he was holding up people behind him and sped up to the speed limit, mostly to annoy dad. A few minutes later we came to a 35 zone, and dad's response was, "Oh thank god!" Heh. I was really amused.
Tomorrow is some lunch just for women, and then Saturday is the wedding. Sunday I head up to PA. I'm looking forward to being home, but I don't think this weekend will be as stressful as I originally thought it would be.
