Yay!

I'm finished! I turned in my last assignment for this semester earlier this afternoon. I spent the rest of the afternoon reading, watching Law & Order, and generally just relaxing. On one hand, it feels SO GOOD to be all done. On the other hand there's this nagging feeling that I have something I should be doing; that feeling should go away soon though. I think it's just because for the past month or so every time I finished an assignment I had to start another one almost immediately. There was also a period of about three weeks in April where I was doing nothing (literally!) except doing homework, going to work, going to choir rehearsals, and going to classes. Now that there's nothing to do, it's odd.

I also talked to my parents earlier today when they called to say they were back from their trip to Texas where they went birding. I told them I'm going to Wyoming, and dad's response (after the "Bring your binoculars! There's lots of wildlife there!") was, "Well, it sounds like fun. You can go." I didn't say anything, but I was not asking his permission. I was informing him that I'm going. The same thing happened when I told mom and dad about the Carnegie Hall trip. They called to tell me they had gotten back from Germany, and we had this conversation:

Dad: Carnegie Hall? That sounds like fun! Sure you can go.
Me: I AM going. I already turned in the first deposit. I just wanted to let you know.

It's more a problem with dad than mom. I think he missed the part where I'm 26 years old and can do what I want without asking his permission first. Oh well. It's not a big deal, but it annoyed me a bit. I won't let it get to me though. I'll just concentrate on the fact that I'm done for the semester! :):):)
