Mom and dad are on their way.
Mar. 11th, 2007 12:36 pmSo my mom and dad left PA this morning around 9:30. Yesterday dad had been talking about being on the road before 8:00. I knew that wasn't going to happen! In my family if you say you're going to leave at 8:00 that most likely means you'll be on the road between 8:30 and 9:00. I also think they were caught off guard by daylight savings time. They knew it happened, but dad's words were, "We woke up this morning, and it was an hour later." Dad's still hoping to make it to Knoxville today, but he's not sure if that's going to happen or not. They're going to see how far they are later and decide. I'm looking forward to seeing them, even if they don't actually make it until tomorrow.
[Edit]: I just talked to dad, and he and mom are in W. Virginia, visiting a friend of his quickly. Apparently the drove through most of VA and then stopped off to see this guy. I asked dad if he was still planning on getting to Knoxville tonight, and he told me he'd give me "a million dollars" if he didn't, so I guess they'll be here tonight.
