1. Dad is okay. I called mom today to talk to her about the election results, and ask what dad thought this morning. She said he wasn't really thinking about the results this morning. She told me, "At three o'clock this morning..." and I expected to hear something like Carmen jumped on dad and woke him up. No, she says, "Dad's hip came out of it's socket." I started freaking out asking if he was okay (he is) and if he went to work today (he did). It's weird because he was just lying there; the pain woke him up. Although he could have been moving around in his sleep. Anyway, I talked to dad this evening, and he's fine although tired. I knew he was fine as soon as he joked:
Dad: My hip was halfway across the room, and I had to tell mom three times to wake up.
Me: Well she didn't know. She was asleep.
Dad: But my hip was across the room.
Me: Dad, I doubt your hip was across the room.
Dad: Well, I might have exaggerated just a little bit.

2. In the PA election we elected lots of democrats, and some picked up House and Senate seats that had been held by the GOP. I'm especially glad we kicked Rick Santorum out of office. The guy is a real a**hole. We also re-elected our democratic governor Ed Rendell.

3. [livejournal.com profile] loose_pages_sd, [livejournal.com profile] half_yeti, and I went to a Jonny Lang concert last night. It was really good and lots of fun. My favorite part was when he sang "Lie to Me" as an encore. We had frosties and french fries afterwards. It was a very fun night.

4. I'm actually a tiny bit ahead on my schoolwork and two assignments now have later due dates than they did orginally. Maybe this will give me more time to work on nanowrimo. Maybe. I haven't written anything more today... Still, yay for later due dates!
