Christmas Carols in Tennessee
Dec. 3rd, 2005 02:29 pmI haven't been consistently listening to Christmas carols either on the radio or on my computer, but when the mood strikes me, I do listen to the station that's already playing carols 24/7. And the two songs I hear most frequently are "Christmas in Dixie" and something about Christmas in Tennessee that I don't know the name of. "Christmas in Dixie" I've heard before, but not nearly as much in PA as I hear it here. The one about Christmas in TN is actually rather pretty, so I don't mind hearing it a lot. I just find it amusing every time one of those songs comes on. Today I also heard "Home for the Holidays" which contains the line "I met a man who lives in Tennessee, and he was headin’ for Pennsylvania and some homemade pumpkin pie." That made me smile because in a couple weeks that's exactly what I'll be doing. And there will be a good possibility of having homemade pumpkin pie too!
