You can tell who the locals are.
Nov. 5th, 2005 06:28 pmThey are the people who pull out coats, gloves, hats, and scarves as soon as it drops below 70. It was about 68 today. A bit windy. I'm walking along in a skirt and short sleeved shirt; I was too hot in jeans yesterday. I was thinking what a nice days it was. I headed to Panera Bread (yum!) and there were two girls sitting outside. They were both wearing coats. We kind of looked at eachother with a "you're crazy to be dressed like that" look. It's funny. I think most people know I get cold *very* easily. My dad used to joke that it could be 90 degrees out and I'd still be cold. That's not true, but I like warmer weather. The general rule is, if *I'm* not cold, then it's not cold. Or at least that was the rule in PA. Yesterday I was wishing I hadn't worn jeans becuase I was hot and I passed two people wearing hats and scarves. I amazes me. All of a sudden I'm the one who's saying, "You think *this* is cold??" It's fun to be someone besides the person asking to turn up the heat all winter though!
Also I don't know if any of you follow college football, but UT is playing *very* badly. Or rather, the offense is; the defense is excellent! And we just lost our fourth consecutive game. Grrr. This is the first time in my life I have ever cared about football, and really it's more about school spirit. I have been told that UT is generally very good though. So now that I actually care they start playing badly. Sigh.
