Found this on Deanna's livejournal. Sounded fun...
[1] Total volume of music files on my computer?
2.97 GB, 1270 files.
Hmmm, that sounded like a lot at first. But considering how much I love music/singing it doesn't anymore. Although that's not counting the like, 10 billion cds sitting around my room that have many, many more songs on them! :)
[2] The last CD I bought was ...
Bought two at the same time:
Queen Greatest Hit - Queen, duh
Be Not Nobody - Vanessa Carlton
[3a] The last song I listened to before writing this was ...
"Tango Maureen" Been on a "Rent" kick recently.
[3b] Song playing right now ...
"La Vie Boheme" There's that "Rent" thing again...
[4] Five songs I listen to a lot or that mean a lot to me:
I can only pick five?? This is hard...
1. "Phantom of the Opera" - Phantom of the Opera
God, I LOVE that musical. This song never fails to me smile, and want to sing along. The fist time I ever heard it on the cd, before seeing the show, I loved the song. It gave me goosebumps first time I heard it during the musical. I just love it.
2. "Angel of Music" - Phantom of the Opera
In my opinion, this is one of the best songs on the Phantom soundtrack to sing along with. I'm not sure why, but I love singing this song. Sarah Brightman has an incredible voice, and I like hitting the notes along with her. It also thrills me that I *can* hit the notes along with her!
3. "Bohemian Rhapsody" - Queen
This song brings back so many happy memories from college! For some reason this was a song that my friends and I would sing/play a lot. There were a few times when we even randomly sang it in the dining hall. That as well as the memory of playing it at the SFF club's end of the year party my senior year makes it special to me.
4. "A Whole New World" - Aladdin
Yeah, I'm a little kid at heart. When Aladdin came out I fell in love with that song. I would randomly sing it around my house - daily. Even before I knew the lyrics I was randomly singing snippets. In seventh grade, a bit after the movie came out, the chorus at my school sang it, and I had a small solo. It was my first solo ever, and I was the youngest one to get a solo. I was only 13 at the time, and it felt wonderful to sing it.
5. "2003" - Nina Gordon
The first time I heard this song (thank you Lauren!) I really liked it. The title caught my attention because that year has special meaning to me. I love singing along with it, as I do with most songs. When I hear the fist few notes, I smile. This song can even make me smile at work! It also talks about seeing what the future can bring which is something that's been on my mind recently.
[5] Which 5 people are you passing this baton to, and why?
Um, I'm not sure I even know five people on livejournal. Anyway, I might pass it on, I might not. Although anyone who wants to take it is free to do so!
